Gilgit Baltistan Welfare Hamdard Foundation values the time, skills, and dedication of our volunteers. This Volunteer Policy outlines the guidelines, responsibilities, and expectations to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive volunteering experience for everyone involved.


Purpose of Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission of serving underprivileged communities across Gilgit Baltistan. Through volunteering, individuals contribute their time and skills to support our programs in education, healthcare, welfare, and emergency relief.


Eligibility

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, unless special permission is granted
  • Volunteers must agree to follow the foundation’s policies and code of conduct
  • Certain roles may require specific skills, experience, or background verification

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers may assist in various areas, including but not limited to:

  • Community outreach and awareness campaigns

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers are expected to:

Code of Conduct

All volunteers must:

  • Treat beneficiaries, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect
  • Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse
  • Refrain from political or religious promotion while volunteering
  • Avoid misuse of the foundation’s name, logo, or resources

Health & Safety

The foundation takes reasonable steps to provide a safe working environment for volunteers. Volunteers must follow all safety instructions and immediately report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.


Volunteer Expenses

Volunteering is unpaid. In some cases, reasonable expenses incurred during approved activities may be reimbursed at the discretion of the foundation, subject to prior approval.


Termination of Volunteering

Gilgit Baltistan Welfare Hamdard Foundation reserves the right to end a volunteer’s involvement at any time if policies are violated, conduct is inappropriate, or participation no longer aligns with the foundation’s values or objectives.

Volunteers may also choose to discontinue their service at any time by informing the foundation.


Data Protection

Volunteer personal information is collected solely for coordination and record-keeping purposes and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
